BLOCKS & AUTHENTICATION

TTFT’s strategy operates on two fronts: blocking known and high-risk bad actors, and challenging suspicious transactions with 3DS authentication before a purchase is completed.

High Risk Score Blocks

Establish block rules for transactions with the highest risk scores likely to result in disputes.
Add known bad actors to a block list by email and card fingerprint to prevent future purchases.
If your dispute exceeds 0.4% you are at risk of being flagged which could result in fines or being blocked by card networks.

3DS Authentication

Create rules based on card location, card history, and timing of sales, as well as around frequency, amount, and volume of purchases.
Establish rules to request 3DS authentication prior to purchase. Failure to authenticate = blocked.
Work directly with the client to review terms and conditions, refund and exchange policies.
